01 Who we are
This website is the home of BTFA™ (Believe, Think, Feel, Act). BTFA™ is a brand of Duxinaroe Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 08911653), registered office 4 Capricorn Centre, Cranes Farm Road, Basildon, Essex SS14 3JJ.
Duxinaroe Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can contact us about anything in it at info@btfa.co.uk. Our ICO registration number is ZB113390.
02 What we collect and why
We only collect what you choose to type into a form on this site. The table shows each form, what it asks for, why, and the lawful basis under UK data protection law.
| Form | What you give us | Why we use it | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enquiry form (Contact page) | Name, work email, organisation, role, the topic you choose and your message | To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to discuss working with us | Our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before a possible contract |
| White paper request (Home, The Model) | Work email | To send you the white paper you asked for | Your consent, given when you submit the form |
| Newsletter sign-up (Insights) | Work email | To send you occasional BTFA insights | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Boss Brain first chapter (Boss Brain page) | First name, work email, and whether you want a note when the book is released | To send you the first chapter and, if you tick the box, one note on release | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
Every form also sends a hidden label saying which form it came from, so we know what you asked for. Each submission is stored in a private database and sent to our inbox. Please don't include sensitive information (such as health details) in a message.
03 What we don't collect
- No cookies. This site sets no cookies and uses no advertising or social-media tracking.
- No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking.
- Visitor statistics are counted without cookies and without identifying you (Cloudflare Web Analytics), for example how many people viewed a page.
- Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs, which include IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working.
- To stop automated spam, when you submit a form we keep a one-way code made from your IP address for 24 hours. It cannot be turned back into your IP address.
04 Who handles your data for us
We use a small number of trusted providers. They process data only on our instructions and under contracts that require them to protect it.
- Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting, security, cookie-free visitor statistics, and a secure database that stores form submissions so our team can follow them up. Only named members of our team can sign in to see it.
- Formspree, Inc.: receives what you submit through our forms and passes it to our inbox. It is based in the United States.
- Our email provider: where messages to info@btfa.co.uk are delivered and answered.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge where the provider is certified.
05 How long we keep it
- Enquiries: 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we go on to work together, in which case we keep business records as the law requires.
- White paper, first chapter and newsletter requests: until you ask us to stop or unsubscribe, and then we delete your details within 30 days.
06 Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct it, or to delete it
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent (this does not affect anything we did before)
- ask for your data in a portable format, where that applies
To use any of these rights, email info@btfa.co.uk. We will reply within one month. There is no charge.
If you're unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or 0303 123 1113.
07 Changes to this notice
If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. If you have given us your email address and the change matters to you, we will tell you.
